CONCERN

I am very concerned for the America I love. I see Red States and Blue States and no evidence of a future correction. Combative voting, divisive political parties, and corrupt money influence in our Federal Politics lead me to this conclusion. It has been this way since the birth of our country and the ratification of our Constitution in 1791. Perhaps it is a little worse now but it has always been divisive. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

POLITICS AS USUAL

If you have ever talked to someone about politics you know the conversation can head south very quickly. Even families have broken up over politics. Perhaps this has happened in your family. The bottom line is that it is nearly impossible to change a person's political mindset once their position is firmly set. We are a 50% Republican and 50% Democrat nation. Is it even possible to change the numbers significantly one way or the other to make a difference? I would argue no and 3rd parties don't have a chance because the two parties are so entrenched and powerful. If the above is true then we are doomed unless we have the courage to make systemic changes.

SYSTEMIC CHANGE

If we would select Constitutionally qualified/knowledgeable American citizens  at random to serve (QRS) as Representatives and Senators, there would be no reason to endure all the pitfalls of voting, the division of political parties, and corrupt money influence in our Federal politics. The result would be greater government efficiency, less polarization and more unity. QRS Representatives would be honoring our Constitution and working for the American people, not a political party. True citizen government would be restored, as the Founders envisioned. This is a debate we must have because the current political system (CPS) is broken.
